The owners have agreed to act as references to our abilities. Please
contact them only if you are seriously considering hiring our services.
When choosing a company as your web designer you should hire
an advertising firm to design your website, and a computer geek to write the
code. At InterCom Design, we are both. See if you can identify the sales
techniques we have employed in these websites. We doubt you will notice

Workshops

Design, e-commerce + Shopping Cart, &
regular updates. We have built their online sales to over
$2,000/wk and increasing. They originally distributed their
products through mail order until we put them online and built
their e-commerce platform. Their original design cost was less

Horizon
Meat & Seafood,
Inc.
(Maintenance Contract)
Content/graphics design, message board, application
scripting and internet sales/marketing consultation. Our
largest client, Horizon Meat & Seafood, Inc, has 26 offices
coast to coast and sales in excess of 100 million per year.
Their sales force is over 600 strong and their website has
over 3000 pages and is constantly growing. Each distributor has
the ability to set his/her own pricing, discounts, specials, etc.
Customers log-in and from that point on, all product pages are
assembled based on their distributors input, or are displayed
generically if the visitor is unlogged.
This site reflects our ability to merge an
existing business into the internet and cover all angles. This is
our strongest ability and the biggest difference over our
competitors who simply give you what you ask for and provide no
consultation of value. Their CEO, Mike D'Agostino,
has expressed his willingness to communicate with anyone who would

Pit Bulls
Here,
we took the existing site, optimized the content, enhanced
the graphics, and instructed the site owner in some advanced
HTML and photo editing techniques so they would not need our

Garden Retreat
This is a site
we did for a bed and breakfast / spiritual retreat in the
western NC mountains. We receive regular comments on how
close we represented the true tranquility of The Garden

Brook
Hollow Nursery
We
produced this website for a local Christmas tree grower that
also allows people to choose and cut their own tree. We
originally designed this website in 1999 and it looks as good today as

Howell & Sparks Realtors
(Periodic Maintenance)
Here again, we did their original site back in 1998, then
a competitor sold them on a redesign that set the site back
about 5 years. Needless to say, we are glad to have re-gained
another client. We have given their site a new look and would
like to thank Cliff, Ray, Cathy and all the others at Howell &
Sparks Realtors for coming back home to InterCom Design. Send

Henline-Hughes Funeral Home
The funeral home's owner was very reserved about not appearing
"commercial" and wanted to maintain his funeral home's "humble
and respectful" atmosphere. We think this is accurately
reflected in the soft and comforting tone of the graphics
package we assembled for his site. We also trained their
resident computer gurus in basic web design with FrontPage so
they could post their obituaries online The obituaries
were previously being produced in Microsoft Works but now are
produced in FrontPage on our web server in the same amount of

WKYK Radio 1470 AM
WTOE Radio 940 AM
These are two
websites produced for Mark Media, Inc., the owner of the two
radio stations. Mark Media wanted two distinct websites that
could be formatted to contain the same content. Also on the
list of objectives that were fulfilled was the ability to
update both websites by only updating one file. You ask, we
deliver. We also trained the station's staff to update the
sites themselves using Microsoft FrontPage.

This
is an e-commerce site with full shopping cart functionality and
online order processing. We basically re-designed the client's old
website completely and added in the shopping cart. The completed

Wow, we couldn't believe
we were able to register the domain www.clerkofcourt.org in
1999 !!! We did the initial website design, then tutored the Clerk of Superior Court, Ted
McKinney in website design, JavaScript and HTML. We hope he gets

Yellow Bird Company Realtors

We
did the original site for this company then a competitor sold them
on a facelift that set the site back a few paces. We are now back
in the saddle and dressing the site up the way it should be. We
continue to provide weekly updates to their listings and explore

Town of Spruce Pine, NC
We took their existing content and added it to a look the city can
be proud of. We also offer our hosting and technical support
services. We will be instructing their existing webmaster in
advanced web design and graphics techniques so they can expand and

Tate's Insurance
This is a website for a local independent insurance agency. Their
objectives were to receive on-line insurance quote requests and
advertise their business. This was done very easily within our
standard business package although we did make some concessions for

Southwood Atelier
A
highly themed website we created for a local artist/potter. Our
client uses her website to interact with other galleries,
exhibitions and buyers. Matching your website's "look and feel" to
your business or profession is something we take great pains with at
InterCom Design. In this case, we even went as far as capturing a
texture from one of the artist's works and then creating the
supporting text graphics with this texture.
